Here is a look at our week: Reading: We learned about Story elements: characters, setting, problem, and solution. Phonics: We learned what adverbs are and the difference between adverbs and adjectives. Writing: We learned how to use transition words in our stories and how to end our stories with a strong last sentence. Math: We began the next chapter on place value. We learned how to identify the value of a number and how to write it in model form and expanded form. Science: We learned that a habitat is the home of an animal. We learned about a pond habitat and identifies where specific creatures live in a pond habitat. Bible: We learned about Joshua, the new leader of Israel. We learned how a woman named Rahab protected Israelite spies and that Joshua trusted in God who took down the walls of Jericho. Important Information: 1.)
