Here's a look at our week: Reading: This week we started learning about Main Idea and Topic. We learned how to read a story and decide what the main idea and topic is. We learned what the difference between main idea and details are as well. We also read with our 5th grade reading buddies again! Writing: We continued working on our poems. We learned how to use comparisons to make our poems better. Next week we will be picking our favorite poems to share with the other 2nd grade class at our Poetry slam next Friday. Math: We have been learning all about graphs. This week we learned how to read and analyze bar graphs and how to make line plots. Bible: We started our unit on the Parables of Jesus. We learned that we should love our neighbor as ourselves, and that we should forgive others like God forgives us. Important Information:

As a part of this we will be attending a Kid's Club Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoon. There will also be no Japanese class next week.
