This week the students had fun dressing up for spirit week! Writing: We began our unit on Poetry by observing objects around us with "poet glasses" learning to write what we see and imagine what it could be. We are excited to begin writing more poems in these coming weeks. Math: We continued learning about three-digit subtraction. We learned how to borrow from the hundreds place, how to borrow twice, and how to borrow across zeros. Next week we will take our test. Bible: This week we learned about Jesus calming a storm, healing a man who was possessed by demons, and healing a woman who had been sick for 12 years. We learned that Jesus has power over storms, demons, and sickness. Kid City: We began preparing for Kid City by learning about the roles of Doctor, Nurse, and Receptionist at a Hospital. We talked about the tools they use, the questions they must ask, and the forms that both nurses and patients need to fill out. Important Information: 1.
