Writing: We have continued writing personal narratives. Learning how to magnify small moments to tell a story. We have also been learning how to begin our stories in an exciting way.
Math: We have finished up the first chapter reviewing our addition and subtraction strategies, and how to do two step problems. We will have our first math test on Tuesday (9/18).
Bible: We learned about Jacob and Esau as well as Joseph this week. We have learned that even when we don't understand what God is doing, like Joseph, we can trust Him. Just as God worked in Joseph's life for good, He will do the same in our lives.
Science: This week we learned what a BIOME is and what makes a desert biome. Below are some of their drawings of the animals we learned about in the desert biome. Also check out the photo of last week's Ocean habitat that they created.
Next Week's Bible and Spelling Words (test is still always on Thursday):
Bible Memory Verse: "Lord, you are forgiving and good. You are full of love for all who call out to you." Psalm 86:5
Spelling Words: smoke, quick, backpack, hike, clock, lake, strike, backstroke, check, ticket, friend, baseball
