Here's a look at our week:
Reading: We continued learning about Author's Purpose. We figured out why the author wrote their story. We also learned that some stories can have more than one purpose. Writing: We began research writing. We learned how to find important information and put it into our own words. We are currently researching about different sea animals and learning what important information we need to find about them. Math: We continued learning about telling time. We learned how to tell time to the quarter hour and to 5 minutes. We will have a Math test over this chapter this Thursday (4/4) Bible: We learned how Jesus was a servant to all and washed his disciples feet. We also learned about the Last Supper and how Jesus said the wine and bread in the meal represent Jesus's blood poured out for us and his body broken for our sins. Important Information: 1. Bible: We began learning about Passion Week. We learned about the first two days of Passion Week which is the week leading up to Jesus's death and resurrection. We learned about Palm Sunday where Jesus entered Jerusalem like a king. We also learned about how on Monday he went to the temple and cleaned out all the money collectors and animals merchants so that people could worship God properly. Important Information:

Reading: We learned how we can ask important and key questions while we read to help us understand the story. Writing: We took a little break from our everyday writing to help prepare for Student led conferences next week. We set some goals for the rest of the year and reflected on how we did so far. Math: We finished up the chapter on collecting and analyzing data and creating graphs. We took a test and have begun learning about telling time! Bible: We learned about how God is our loving Father who eagerly embraces all those who turn to him in the Parable of the Prodigal Son. We also learned in the Parable of the Talents how God gives us each talents and abilities and desires us to use those to serve and glorify him. Kids City Prep: We learned what a Postal Worker does and how to address and send letters in the mail. IMPORTANT INFORMATION 1. This week the Middle and High school students put on a club for students at the end of Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday as part of their service week. Here's a look at our week: Reading: We finished learning about the main idea and details of a story. This week we looked at both fiction and nonfiction passages and identified the main idea together. Writing: We picked our four favorite poems and compiled them into a Poetry Book. On Friday we had a 2nd grade Poetry Slam where we shared our poems with our friends in both 2nd grade classes Math: We finished learning about graphs. We learned how to make and read line plots and then reviewed for our test.
Bible: We learned more about Jesus's Parables. We learned that we should be humble and ask for forgiveness. We should be quick to forgive others because God forgives us. Important Information: 1.
